This Georgia bulldog would be a huge steal for the Bears.
Even though the NFL has shifted towards the passing game in the last few years, the run game is still a key aspect in football. With that being said, you have to be able to stop the running game also. The Bears were pretty solid against the run last season but there's still room left for improvement. With Eddie Goldman having injury problems and Akiem Hicks getting older, the Bears could be on the look for interior defensive help.
There is no one in the draft that fits this description better than Georgia Bulldog Jordan Davis. This man is a MASSIVE human being. He's listed at 6"6 340 pounds, but there are reports that he could be closer to 370 pounds. Davis was a huge contributor to a National Championship team in Athens last season. He was so dominant that he even was in the conversation for the Heisman trophy award.
While his stats are not amazing, when you put on the game tape, he flashes. He is so versatile that he not only can stop the run at an all-time elite level, he can also rush the passer pretty well. I believe he will have to get in better shape so he can stay on the field for longer than 2-3 plays in a row, but the sky is the limit for this kid.
I think there is a chance he might fall into the end of the first round and maybe even the second round. Some experts have him going as late as the 40th pick in the upcoming draft.
The craziest thing about this superstar is his speed. He can fly around the field for a guy with this immense size. Check out this clip of him chasing down an opposing quarterback. That is some scary stuff.
