Being an undrafted free agent may be a disappointing start to an NFL career, but it's far from a death sentence. Year in and year out, many players whose names were not called in the NFL draft still go on to emerge as productive NFL players.

Some of the league's most prominent players entered the league as undrafted rookies.

Well, the Chicago Bears have signed Ball State LB Christian Albright to an undrafted rookie deal, his agent announced on Twitter yesterday.

Albright had been brought in as a tryout player for their rookie minicamp. He was a four-year starter. He is 6"2 and weighs 240 pounds.

During his career at Ball State, he compiled 257 tackles and 34 TFLs in his. He was nominated on the 2020 All-Mid-American Conference Second Team, the 2018 All-Mid-American Conference Third Team, the 2020 Academic All-Mid-American Conference and he also won the 2020 Willie Snead True Cardinal Award.
