"I think this is a great opportunity for him and for us and for everybody involved," Vrabel stated on Monday. "Big T [Williams] will handle that and [defensive assistant] Clint McMillan will take charge of the defensive line. That will start on Friday."
Williams will be responsible for making in-game decisions, while Vrabel will remain on the sideline, offering his support and guidance. Vrabel praised Williams for his excellent communication skills with players, extending beyond his own position group.
The Titans have been impressed with the performance of several undrafted free agents, particularly on the defensive line. Players like Teair Tart, Naquan Jones, and Jayden Peevy have earned spots in the rotation, while fourth-year defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons has flourished under Williams' guidance, earning two Pro Bowl selections.
Williams joined the Titans as the defensive line coach in 2018 when Vrabel took the helm. His remarkable coaching journey spans 26 years, including 12 years in the NFL.
