In a recent interview on the Totally Offensive podcast, Hill surprised many by revealing that he plans to play for only three more years. The 29-year-old, who has been in the league for seven seasons, intends to complete his contract with the Dolphins and then retire.
"I plan to play for ten years," Hill stated. "After finishing my contract with the Dolphins, I'll be calling it quits."
If Hill follows through with his plan, he will retire after the 2025 season, having completed a decade in the league.
"There's no guarantee that I'll stick with that timeline, but I'm planning to play for 10 years," Hill stated. "After finishing my contract with the Dolphins, I'll be calling it quits."
If Hill follows through with his plan, it is undoubtedly shocking news for an electrifying player like him, who is still at the top of his game. Hill had an exceptional 2022 season, with 119 catches for 1,710 yards, both of which were career highs and ranked second in the NFL.
Hill seems to be very serious about retiring, as he already has plans for his post-football life. He wants to venture into the gaming space and is already taking steps to achieve this.
"I really want to get into the gaming space," Hill said. "I really want to get huge in that, and that's kind of what I'm doing right now. I'm using my platform to create a gaming team, which isn't launched yet. It should launch by the end of this month. I'm going to just sign different content creators, different athletes. I just been working that, talking to different sponsors."
