Bridgewater, who is a former Pro Bowler, will be playing as a backup QB.
Bridgewater was drafted back in 2014 by the Minnesota Vikings, as a first-round pick. He was a very exciting player, who led his team to an 11-5 record in 2015, the same year he made the Pro Bowl.
Unfortunately, Bridgewater's career was forever changed after tearing his ACL before the 2016 season. He had to miss the entire 2016 season, and only played for a couple of snaps in one game of the 2017 season.
After the 2017 season, Bridgewater became a free agent, and signed a one-year contract with the Jets. Since then, he has been bouncing around several teams, unable to remain as a franchise guy.
Now, he is returning to the NFC North, with the Lions, and has hopes that one day he can be a starter again.
