In a new video, former NFL MVP Cam Newton revealed how his former Panthers teammate Jimmy Clausen offered him $1 million for his jersey number:

While in college, Newton wore the number 2, but after being drafted by the Panthers, Clausen already owned that number.

When Clausen made the offer, Newton denied, and decided to stick with number 1:

Newton then became the starting QB on the team, and Clausen was then released ahead of the 2014 season. After being waived, the Bears signed Clausen, but was then released one year later.
