For the past few months, the million dollar question has been: who will the Bears draft in 2024? It seems like most analysts say to draft USC QB Caleb Williams, while it seems like many current and former players say to stick with Justin Fields and draft a player to build around him.

When asked this question, former Bears RB Merril Hoge spoke about Williams, and explains why the team should not draft him:

Not only did Hoge say to not draft Williams, but he also said that Williams is not a special player. Hoge worries that the Bears will draft Williams in hopes of him being like the player they passed on a few years ago, Mahomes.

Hoge wants to see the Bears stick with Fields and build around him.
