Why Bears fans should be happy about NOT drafting Trey Lance

After being the 3rd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, 49ers fans had high hopes for their new QB: Trey Lance. He was supposed to be one of the stars of the league, but has been looking like a bust. Injuries and poor playing has made him a player who teams are not interested in, and will most likely be the 3rd string QB this season.

While on the "Pat McAfee Show", top NFL Insider Adam Schefter shared his thoughts on Lance, and it was not all that nice. When asked if he thinks that Lance could get traded, Adam replied with:

Adam is saying here that teams are not interested in Lance whatsoever, so there is no market for him at all. Adam sees Lance as being a backup for his career and staying as the 3rd string for the 2023 season. With Brocky Purdy and Sam Darnold both on the roster, it does not look like Lance will be getting any playing time

Is Adam being too harsh on Lance? Remember, he has only played 2 seasons, so doesn't it seem too early to be calling him a bust?
