With Teven Jenkins OUT with an Injury, the Bears should Pursue This Guard...
After it was reported that Bears guard Teven Jenkins is out with an injury, and could miss a couple of weeks, fans and the media have been curious to see what the Bears will do and who they will sign as his replacement.
After Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune revealed that Jenkins leg injury could keep him sidelined for some time, only one name came to my mind about who should replace him as the Bears starting guard.
The perfect signing would be former Broncos guard and current free agent, Dalton Risner.
Risner spent the past 4 seasons with the Broncos and has been a solid starter for the team. Also, when looking at his stats, Risner has only allowed 10 sacks on 2,304 pass-blocking snaps. ESPN also has him ranked number 10 with the best run-block win rate among all the NFL guards last season.
He is one of the best guards in the NFL, and the fact that he is STILL a free agent is shocking. The Bears need him now more than ever!
