Aidan Hutchinson, the Detroit Lions' star player, had hoped for a rematch against the Dallas Cowboys in the postseason, but it won't be happening this year.

The Lions secured a thrilling 24-23 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card matchup, earning a spot in the divisional round. However, the Cowboys failed to hold their end of the deal, suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers, who were the 7th seed, with a final score of 48-32.

With Dallas now eliminated, the Lions will have another home game in the next round. They await the winner of Monday's clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hutchinson and the Lions had a strong desire for a rematch with the Cowboys due to a controversial loss in Week 17. In that game, Detroit scored a touchdown with less than 30 seconds remaining and seemed to take the lead with a successful 2-point conversion, but it was ultimately overturned. The Cowboys emerged victorious with a score of 20-19.

Reflecting on the situation, Hutchinson expressed his desire for another shot at the Cowboys, saying, "I think we all wanted Dallas again, but the fact that we're back here again next week is a blessing."

While the Lions are grateful for the opportunity, they would have relished the chance for revenge against the Cowboys, given the contentious outcome of their previous meeting.
