Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy remains confident about the direction the franchise is taking, even after an uninspiring 0-3 start to the season.

"We believe we're on the cusp of crafting something extraordinary," Getsy shared with the Chicago Sun-Times. "We're only entering Week 4. Our strategy against Denver will differ significantly from how we approached Kansas City."

In a disappointing 41-10 defeat against the Chiefs in Week 3, the Bears mustered a mere 87 total offensive yards. Their rankings in the league aren't flattering either - 27th in scoring, 31st in passing, and 27th in turnovers as Week 4 approaches. Additionally, young QB Justin Fields is 30th in terms of passer rating (67.7).

Getsy commented on the transition, stating, "Every week poses its unique challenges. We face different tactics, different coordinator styles. As Coach [Matt Eberflus] often emphasizes, whether it's joy or sorrow post-game, you have 24 hours to digest it. Then, it's time to move on. Our journey spans 17 weeks, not just three."

With a 0-3 record for the current season and a 13-game losing streak from the last, things look bleak. Commenting on Fields' track record, Craig Carton remarked on "The Carton Show", "I doubt Justin Fields lost thirteen games in total before turning professional."

Plaxico Burress, a seasoned NFL veteran, chimed in, "The shift from collegiate victories to a pro-level losing streak is jarring. Fields is a promising player. The Bears need to offer him a competent O-line and reliable receivers."

Fields' commendable 20-2 record as a starter for Ohio State, leading them to consecutive College Football Playoff entries, paints a contrast to his present scenario.

Willie Colon, co-host, noted, "[Fields] hasn't delivered standout performances, and his innate skills haven't compensated for the gaps... Winning with him currently seems challenging."

Given Fields' performance so far, with not a single game exceeding 216 passing yards and only three touchdowns to his name, questions arise about the Bears' future with him. With two first-round draft picks next year, they could choose among the likes of Caleb Williams from USC or UNC's Drake Maye.

Colon speculated, "I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears draft a quarterback."

Nevertheless, Getsy's focus remains on navigating this season with Fields at the helm. The Bears hope to secure their maiden victory when they square off against Russell Wilson's equally struggling Broncos this Sunday.
