Breaking: 2 NFL Players have been CUT due to Gambling
This past month, news broke out reporting that the NFL was investigating gambling rumours in the league. It was then confirmed that 4 players were caught, and that they would be suspended. However, 2 of these 4 players have been cut from their team.
The 4 players who were found guilty of gambling are Colts' DE Rashod Berry and CB Isaiah Rodgers, as well as Titans' OT Nicholas Petit-Frere and free agent Demetrius Taylor. The Colts then announced today that they have waived both Berry and Rodgers via Twitter:
Before they were released, the Colts' players were suspended for at least 1 year, and the same goes for Taylor. They were suspended indefinitely, but will be able to speak with the NFL after the 2023 season in hopes of returning.
Though these 3 men are facing a long punishment, Petit-Frere is only suspended for 6 games, because he bet on other sports not in the NFL, which is less frowned upon. Berry, Rodgers, and Taylor are facing a much larger suspension due to them betting on NFL games last season.
It looks to be the end of some of these players careers...
