BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Taken Off Field on a Cart During Individual Drills at Practice.
The mood was somber at the Dallas Cowboys' practice when wide receiver David Durden had to be taken off the field on a cart due to what seemed to be a significant leg injury. ESPN's Todd Archer highlighted the concern as many of Durden's teammates rushed over to comfort the undrafted rookie before he was escorted to the locker room.
Durden is scheduled for an MRI on Thursday. However, based on early indications from Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, there are fears within the organization that Durden might have suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
Footage from the practice illustrated Durden competing against cornerback Trevon Diggs. During the play, Durden seems to have misstepped on Diggs' foot, leading his left leg to land awkwardly and causing him to immediately clutch his knee.
This recent incident follows another setback for the Cowboys, who already witnessed the season-ending ACL injuries of two rookies � linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and tight end John Stephens � in their recent game against Seattle.
With the looming roster cut deadlines and the onset of the regular season, these injuries certainly complicate matters for the young members of the Dallas Cowboys' team.
