Caddie Receives CPR at Pebble Beach Pro-Am Tournament with Bills QB Josh Allen Present, One Month After Damar Hamlin Episode
During the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour, a caddie assisting an amateur golfer collapsed and required CPR before being transported to a hospital, according to ESPN. In close proximity to the occurrence was Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, who was present at the tournament and wearing a hat with the word "Oncore." The incident caused a temporary halt in play for approximately an hour on the No. 11 fairway as the caddie received medical attention. Though unconfirmed, Allen was not believed to be on the same course. The caddie, who was employed by businessman Geoff Couch, was not named by the PGA Tour.
Gary Young, chief referee for the Tour, reported that a spectator initiated CPR before a Cal Fire officer took over. The players on the course were relieved to hear that the caddie was doing better and expected to recover after being taken to the hospital.
