Cj Stroud said he does not want to come to Chicago.
Despite rumors swirling that the Chicago Bears could select Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud to replace Justin Fields with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, Stroud himself attempted to dispel those rumors at the NFL Combine on Friday. The Heisman finalist is currently projected to be selected second overall by the Indianapolis Colts in a trade with the Bears, according to ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft. While Stroud led the Big Ten in passing yards and touchdowns last season, Fields, the 2021 11th overall pick, had a strong finish to his rookie season with 10 touchdown passes and over 1,000 rushing yards. With Fields' potential and impressive performance on the ground, the Bears would be unwise to give up on him for another quarterback prospect.
It was interesting to see that C.J. Stroud also mentioned that he does not want to go to Chicago since they already have Justin Fields, and he considers the Bears as Fields' team.
«He ain't no damn running back. He's a quarterback. He can sling that rock.
«I don't want to go there. That's his team.»
