There have been multiple hints as to a potential return with the Bears. Gould's contract ends at the end of 2022. First of all, Gould's former special team coordinator, Richard Hightower is now with the Bears. Robbie has told, on several occasions, how fond of his coach he was. They truly had an amazing relationship.
In addition to that, Gould has been saying every time he has the chance how much he likes the city of Chicago. Here is a recent quote from him on an interview with NBC sports: "I love the city of Chicago. I always will. That love I have for the city and the Bears organization will never go away. I said it when I got cut: Once a Bear, always a Bear. I truly mean that.»
The Bears already have a great kicker in Cairo Santos. However, we have seen kicker fall apart quickly. A great example of that is Blair Walsh a couple of years ago for the Vikings. You never know. Gould is a really reliable kicker. Of course, he has had a couple of big-time misses, like pretty much every kicker in history not named Justin Tucker or Adam Vinatieri. He has truly gotten better with time. He seems unfazed in clutch situations. That is pretty much the most important thing you want in a kicker.
He also had a very famous quote after he made a game-winning kick versus the Green Bay Packer in this year's playoff. "F**ck those Packers", he said. Let's just say his Chicago roots have not gone away. Maybe we could see him finish up his career where it all started, in the Windy City.
Here is the video that will make Bears' fan very happy:
