Daniel Jones, the quarterback for the New York Giants, has made a significant change that could have a major impact on his upcoming contract negotiations. According to sources, Jones is in the process of switching agents before he becomes a free agent. He was previously represented by CAA, but is expected to join Athletes First, the agency that negotiated contracts for quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott, among others.

Jones, who is 25 years old, could potentially earn a salary of more than $35 million per season, with the Giants prepared to franchise tag him if a long-term deal cannot be reached. The nonexclusive tag for a quarterback is set at $32.4 million. Last offseason, the Giants declined to exercise his fifth-year option to assess his potential as the team's quarterback. However, Jones performed exceptionally well during the season, leading the team to the playoffs with a career year of 3,913 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Throughout his four years with the Giants, Jones has started 53 games, throwing for a total of 11,603 yards with 60 touchdowns and 34 interceptions.
