Former Bears WR Disagrees with Justin Fields' Comments

During a quick sideline interview, Bears QB Justin Fields told the All Things Covered podcast that he is a top 5 rushing QB of all time:

As heard in the clip, Fields stated that he is "definitely" in the top 5...and many are not agreeing with him.

On the I Am Athlete podcast, host and former Bears WR Brandon Marshall mentioned that he did not like Fields' statement. Marshall said:

For starters, Marshall was not a fan of the language of best "running" QBs, because he believes QBs should strive to be the best at all abilities. And second, Marshall feels like it is too soon to say this, as Fields is only going into his 3rd season.

But, Fields did have one of the best rushing performance last season, which earned him a record of being the third quarterback in history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. There is no question that he is one of the best runners in the game, but it's hard to compare himself to history.

Fans and viewers were not happy with his ranking, but Bears fans should be. It proves that he is confident and believes in himself as being one of the best.
