Giants RB Saquon Barkley Speaks on the Possibility of Being Traded
In a recent interview with NFL writer Eric Edholm, Giants RB Saquon Barkley spoke about the idea of being traded:
As seen in the article, Barkley made it clear that he does not want to be traded, even though during this past offseason, it seemed like he wanted to be.
"I don't think anybody in their right mind would want to get traded anywhere. It's not an easy thing to do, you've got to move, I have a family. I would love to be here but like I said, it's not in my control. My focus is to be the leader I can be for this team to try to get this thing on the right track."
- Barkley saidHowever, Barkley will still become a free agent after the 2023 season, so leaving New York is not impossible.
If the money is right and he likes the fit, it will be likely to see Barkley with a new team ahead of the 2024 season. He is not thrilled with his contract at the moment, so if a team offers something better, then he will most likely be leaving the Giants.
