The 2021 NFL season is coming to an end real soon officially for all 32 teams. With the Super Bowl taking place on Sunday, February 9th, in Los Angeles, all scheduled games will now be a thing of the past.
It is now time to look at the most notable dates for the upcoming events:
February 14 - The waiver system begins in 2022.
February 22 - The first day for the clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
March 1-7 -The NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis
March 8 - Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, the deadline for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
March 14-16 -Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2021 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 16.
March 16 - All 2021 player contracts will expire at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
March 16 - The 2022 league year and free agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
March 16 - The trading period for 2022 begins at 4:00 p.m., New York time, after the expiration of all 2021 contracts.
April 28-30 - 2022 NFL Draft: Las Vegas, Nevada.
