The Jets obviously needed a change, so they singed one of the greatest QBs of all time: Aaron Rodgers. After signing Rodgers, it would sound like Wilson is worried about his job, as his replacement is a 4-time MVP, a Super Bowl champ, and a 10-time Pro Bowler. This is a guy who will 100% be starting this season and taking over this team. If Rodgers stays health, then Wilson will never see the field, unless the Jets are blowing out a team.
You would think that Wilson is mad, right? Well, he has made comments that make it seem like he is happy to have him, and maybe he has a point. According to NFL writer Nick Shook, Wilson is happy to have Rodgers around.
Even though Wilson's spot was taken, he has the opportunity to learn from one of the best. Rodgers is turning 40 later this year, so retirement might be closer than we think. If Wilson continues to learn from Rodgers and practices his game, then once Rodgers calls it quits, Wilson will be ready, and better than ever. He has the chance to turn his career around, and even if that means sitting on the bench for a few seasons, it will all be worth it in the end.
