How Bears OC Candidate Kliff Kingsbury Helped Shape One of the Greatest Quarterbacks of All Time

On Thursday, it was announced that the Bears will be interviewing USC's QB coach/senior offensive analyst Kliff Kingsbury.

Before coaching at USC, Kingsbury is best known for his time as the head coach for the Cardinals from 2019-2022. But before that, he worked with one of the all time greats.

From 2012-2018, Kingsbury was apart of Texas Tech, working as the QB coach in 2012, and then being promoted as the head coach in 2013.

While serving as the HC at Texas Tech, Kingsbury offered Patrick Mahomes a scholarship. He was Mahomes' head coach for his college career until declaring for the NFL draft.

In a press conference from last season, Mahomes gave a ton of praise to his former coach, and in many other interviews as well, he has credited Kingsbury for his success:
