LSU Tigers quarterback and projected top-three draft pick Jayden Daniels has addressed rumors suggesting his camp opposes him being drafted by the New England Patriots.

With the Patriots holding the No. 3 selection in April's 2024 NFL Draft, most analysts predict that Daniels, along with USC's Caleb Williams and North Carolina's Drake Maye, will be among the top three picks, with Williams likely heading to the Chicago Bears as the No. 1 overall selection.

In response to the speculation, Daniels used a "cap" emoji on X/Twitter, indicating disbelief or denial, for those unfamiliar with the term.

Earlier reports from Phil A. Perry of NBC Sports Boston suggested that some in Daniels' camp prefer him not to land in New England due to concerns about the colder climate in Foxborough.

Unless the Bears trade the pick, it's anticipated they'll trade starting quarterback Justin Fields and select Williams with the No. 1 pick. Subsequently, the Washington Commanders, who possess the No. 2 selection, will choose between Maye and the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 210 pounds, Daniels is coming off an outstanding collegiate season where he completed 72.2 percent of his pass attempts, accumulating 3,812 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. He also showcased his rushing ability, tallying 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
