Justin Fields takes a shot at Matt Nagy
We have heard multiple players take shots at former Bears head coach Matt Nagy ever since he left Chicago. From Anthony Miller and Allen Robinson complaining about bad plays calling or offensive lineman saying that the mood was always bad in the locker room, we have heard it all. Well, here is the latest. QB Justin Fields had an interview with Ryan Gaydos of Fox News earlier this week. I found his response very interesting. Here is what he said about the new culture:
"We're kinda just trying to re-culture or getting the culture in the building. I don't think our culture was the best culture last year. So, working with the new staff everybody is just buying in.
"We got a lot of new people in. Just creating a foundation for years to come. That's really the most exciting thing about it. It's been awesome working with the new coaches (and) working with my new teammates."
I am not surprised at all that he said the culture was bad last year. It speaks again to how bad Nagy was in Chicago. The culture is almost entirely based on the coaching staff. Of course, some great veteran players can affect it, but it mainly starts at the top.
I could not be more thrilled that the Nagy era is over and we can finally flip the page. This was just another reminder of how bad those times were. Brighter days ahead...
