Luke Getsy wants to build the offense around Justin Fields
Can Justin Fields and the Bears make a leap from year one to year two?
This is the question that many Bears fans are asking themselves. As we sit and observe the moves that Ryan Poles is making to build the team from the inside out via depth, we cannot help but wonder, «Will Justin Fields have enough help in order. to succeed in 2022». I personally believe Justin Fields will have a better season this year for two main reasons.
Reason Number One
The Bears are projected to have the second easiest schedule this season. This alone in itself presents the substance of opportunity for success. The only other team that is ahead of the Bears in this category is the Washington Commanders. If Justin Fields can translate his practices with Mooney onto the game field come September, Bears fans we are in for a time!
Reason Number Two
The second reason that I believe The Bears/Justin Fields will shock everyone this season is because of the lack of Nagy's offense and the addition of Luke Getsys offense.
It was reported that Luke Getsy said, «We've got to dive into what everybody does best, right?» and then he expounded, «And it starts with the quarterback. This is a quarterback-driven offense. The things the quarterback does well, that's going to be the driver of who we are. And then we're going to marry that to what the other guys on the football field do well. That's the purpose of the offensive coordinator � to dive into what people do best and then build the offense around that.».
This is a far cry from Nagy who did just the opposite. Luke Getsy's plan is to take the Baltimore Ravens route and build around Justin Fields' strengths just as Baltimore did with Lamar. I am going to make a bold prediction and unpopular opinion. I believe if they can remain healthy, the Bears could sneak into the playoffs this coming season. I believe when that happens, we will see a side of Justin Fields that is reminiscent of his college days. I also believe the year after, we can compete in the NFC championship. Get ready Bears fans, we have some fun days ahead of us!
