An NFC team in need of a quarterback faces a steep price tag to trade up for LSU standout and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

Speculation swirls that the Vikings might pursue a move to secure a quarterback in the first round of this year's draft, holding the 11th overall pick. According to a report by Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Vikings would need to relinquish three first-round picks to jump to the No. 3 spot, currently held by the New England Patriots, to acquire Daniels:

"Should the Vikings aim to ascend from their No. 11 position in the April NFL draft to No. 3 to snag LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, it would entail surrendering their first-round draft picks in 2024, 2025, and 2026."

Vikings' starting quarterback Kirk Cousins is set to become a free agent, and indications suggest the four-time Pro Bowler will test the free-agent market. Cousins has commanded Minnesota's quarterback position since 2018.

Daniels boasts impressive statistics, having thrown for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions, while also accumulating 1,134 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
