Many football enthusiasts are raising eyebrows and asking the NFL to take a closer look at the refereeing during the match-up between the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts.

In the dramatic closing moments of the game, the Browns seemed to gain favor from two consequential decisions by the officials. Initially, Darrell Baker Jr. of the Colts was flagged for illegal contact on Amari Cooper. This penalty wiped away what would have been a crucial strip sack on P.J. Walker, potentially cementing the game in the Colts' favor.

But the officiating controversies didn't end there. On the immediate next play, Baker Jr. was once again under scrutiny as he was flagged for defensive pass interference against Donovan Peoples-Jones. This put the Browns in a highly advantageous position at the one-yard line. Taking advantage of this, running back Kareem Hunt managed to break through on a fourth-and-goal, securing the win for the Browns.

The sequence of these events, especially the pivotal calls, left fans bewildered and exasperated. The uproar wasn't just limited to fan reactions during the game, as many went on to suggest that the NFL should thoroughly review the performance and decisions made by Shawn Smith's officiating team after the dramatic showdown.
