It has not been an easy couple of weeks for NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. After finding out that he might need his foot amputated due to medical complications, we are now learning that he needs an emergency surgery for a blood clot in his groin. As reported on The Pat McAfee Show earlier today, Sanders confirmed the news to former NFL player and on-air personality Adam Jones.

Sanders, aka Coach Prime, had 2 toes amputated last year due to blood clots. Complications have appeared from the surgerys, which is why amputation is in the discussion now.
Now with this new blood clot, Prime is scheduled for an early morning surgery tomorrow, which we are praying that it goes well.
While on the The Pat McAfee Show, Jones opened up about how he is feeling, as he and Sanders are very close friends. Jones expressed that he has seen him go through it with his surgeries and just wants to see him healthy.
Sanders played in the NFL for 14 seasons. During his career, he was an 8-time Pro Bowler, a 2-time Super Bowl champ, and the 1994 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011, and is known as one of the greatest NFL players of all time. After his retirement, Sanders was still heavily involved in the NFL with media appearances, and then decided to start coaching. Since 2020, Sanders has been a college football coach and has found a new passion in the game.
We are all praying for Coach Prime and hoping for an easy recovery!
