After a whirlwind of rumors and speculation, the Carson Wentz trade chatter has kind of died down a bit. Reports indicate that not only is it because the Eagles want two first round picks but it's also because the Wentz is owed another $10million on March 19. This has put other teams in a standoff position not willing to pay the picks plus the bonus. NFL insider Albert Breer believes Philly won't be getting that extra first round pick they want and maybe not even a first at all. Breer adds that the Eagles will likely have to include picks with Wentz and when all is said and done, he'll likely be in a Bears uniform. "Ultimately, I think GM Howie Roseman's goal, in asking for so much, was to come away with a 1 and something else. At this point, I don't think he gets a first round for Wentz at all, without some strings (maybe a salary dump or picks going back) attached.""My guess is he lands in Chicago, and that'd be good for him. (John) Defilippo played the bad cop in Philly for Wentz over the QB's first two years in the league, and going there would force Wentz to confront the lingering hard-coaching question head on."Could the Bears actually land Wentz without giving up a first? It's quite the storyline that won't go away for awhile.
