NFL Network's Adam Rank Chimes in on the Jaylon Johnson News
Today has been a wild one for Bears fans! Earlier today, the Bears traded away their 2024 2nd round pick for Commanders DE Montez Sweat.
In more shocking news, late last night, just hours before the trade deadline, it was revealed that CB Jaylon Johnson wanted to be traded away.
When this news broke, several fans, reporters, insiders, etc. expressed their opinions on this news, with many hoping the Bears can extend Johnson instead of trading him.
NFL Network's Adam Rank, also known as a Bears fan, tweeted out what he hopes to see between the Bears and Johnson:
As seen in the tweet, Rank, like many fans, want to see Johnson in a Bears jersey for years and years. An extension is what Johnson wants, or else he will leave or demand a trade.
Now that the deadline is over and Johnson was not traded, the Bears will need to figure out an extension deal if they want to keep Johnson around after the 2023 season.
