NFL Network's Kyle Brandt Predicts who will Win Coach of the Year, and Bears fans should be Excited
Kyle Brandt may be the Bears biggest fan...and we love that!
NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" is doing 'Prediction Week' heading into the 2023 season. For this prediction, the hosts all shared their Coach of the Year predictions, and Brandt picked Bears head coach, Matt Eberflus:
Eberflus is entering his 2nd year as the Bears head coach, and even after an awful season last year, Brandt sees a change for this season.
The Bears finished the 2022 season with a 3-14 record, the worst in the entire league. However, change is expected for 2023, and Eberflus will be apart of it.
One of the main reasons why the Bears failed last year was because of injuries and no playmakers. The defense had no stars, and the offense was a mess. QB Justin Fields had no weapons, and the D had no leaders. However, GM Ryan Poles made some risky choices this offseason, but those risks will pay off.
This Bears team has fully transformed into a solid team, with the new additions like WR DJ Moore, LB Tremaine Edmunds, and DE Yannick Ngakoue, to just name a few. This is a real team now, and if everyone can stay healthy, then the Bears are expected to at least make the playoffs.
If, and when, the Bears make the playoffs, the NFL world will congratulate head coach Matt Eberflus, as he has helped with this transformation, and will be winning Coach of the Year.
