Former NFL punter Marquette King was once a top name in the league. He has 1 million followers on Instagram and became a fan favourite to everyone in the NFL. He was fun to watch and made the punting position interesting to many...until he was forgotten about.

King went undrafted in 2012, and then signed with the Raiders on a 3-year deal after an impressive try out. His fame grew when people started noticing his celebrations, as King enjoyed dancing on the field, which made fans enjoy watching him.

During his time with the Raiders, King was named as the NFL punting yards leader in 2014, and was named to the Second-Team All-Pro in 2016. Even after his success, the team decided to move on from him, but off-field issues may be the reason why.

It was reported that before King was released, several of his teammates complained about his behaviour. They found him to be a diva and were not fond of his personality. However, other teammates loved him as a person.

After being released, King signed a 3-year contract with the Broncos, but after suffering a thigh injury, King and the team reached an injury settlement, which then led up to him being released.

King then moved on to the XFL, where he was the 2020 XFL punting yards leader, and won the 2023 XFL championship.

Now, King is eyeing an NFL comeback, and shared a message for GMs around the NFL, while on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football." Watch here:

As stated by King, he wants another chance in the league, and feels like he can help out a team. He wants GMs to get to know him as a person, and allow for him to prove himself:

"I would love to have another opportunity to play this game again"
- King said

Best of luck to you, King!
