After a disappointing 24-17 loss against the Saints, Bears fans want answers.
To begin, the Bears had a fantastic start to the game, scoring a TD on the first drive. QB Tyson Bagent threw great ball to TE Cole Kmet for 6, and this team started to look unstoppable.
Unfortunately, once the second half began, the Bears looked like their normal sloppy selves.
The Bears were unable to get anything going on the pass rush in the second half, and actually finished the day with 0 sacks. They allowed time for Saints QB Derek Carr, which ultimately gave the Saints more room to create plays.
The team then became turnover central, as they ended the game with 5 total turnovers. Bagent was to blame for a fumble, and also threw 3 interceptions. Bagent turned the ball over when the game was on the line.
When the game was on the line, with only one chance left, Bagent chocked, and fumbled the ball. This play was on him, and that is why the Bears ultimately lost this game. This team had several chances of taking the lead, but when your QB makes costly mistakes, it becomes impossible to win.
