ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that Wilson met with the New York Giants in New Jersey on Friday, preceding his scheduled meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Additionally, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted Wilson's sighting at Newark airport en route to Pittsburgh. Schefter later confirmed an "exploratory meeting" with the Giants prior to his departure.
The Giants committed to Daniel Jones with a four-year deal last year, guaranteeing him $36 million in 2024. However, dissatisfaction with his performance last season, coupled with injuries limiting him to six games, has left room for evaluation.
Jones threw for 909 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions, completing 68 percent of his passes, but faced 30 sacks, accounting for 15.8 percent of his dropbacks.
Wilson, on the other hand, may consider a veteran's minimum salary given the Broncos owe him $39 million for 2024. The nine-time Pro Bowler completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
Furthermore, the Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly shown interest in meeting with Wilson following his departure from Denver.
