According to a recent report disclosed on Sunday, the Chicago Bears are considering Chargers wide receivers coach Chris Beatty for a position on Shane Waldron's offensive staff. Tom Pelissero provided this information.

At 50 years old, Beatty boasts three years of NFL coaching experience, all of which have been with the Chargers. Prior to his stint in Los Angeles, Beatty accumulated 15 years of coaching experience in the college ranks.

The Chargers have gained recognition for their dynamic receiving corps, notably led by Keenan Allen over the years. Under Beatty's guidance, Allen continued to excel, averaging 7.2 catches for 80.3 yards and 0.4 touchdowns per game. This represented a slight improvement from the three years preceding Beatty's tenure, during which Allen averaged 6.5 catches, 73.6 yards, and 0.4 touchdowns per game.

The Bears officially appointed Shane Waldron as their new offensive coordinator the previous Tuesday. Just three days later, the team announced that Kerry Joseph, who had been Waldron's assistant quarterbacks coach in Seattle, would also join the Bears as the new quarterbacks coach.

Head coach Matt Eberflus further bolstered the coaching staff by appointing Eric Washington, formerly the assistant head coach and defensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills, as the Bears' new defensive coordinator on Saturday.
