As per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the New York Jets are rumored to be pursuing Rodgers through a trade. The Packers, on the other hand, are reportedly "comfortable" with the progression of Jordan Love, the 2020 first-round pick who has served as Rodgers' backup for the past three seasons. Bleacher Report's Adam Wells writes, "Fowler noted that the team is 'comfortable' with the development of 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love, who has spent the past three seasons as the backup."
Love has appeared in 10 games since his draft in 2020 and has amassed 606 passing yards and three touchdowns. In the event that Rodgers is traded, the Packers would likely require a seasoned backup to support Love, as the only other quarterback on the roster is Danny Etling.
This offseason promises to be an exciting period for the Green Bay Packers.
