As revealed by NFL reporter Stephen Holder, Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson is expected to be out for the remainder of the season:

Holder says that Colts owner Jim Irsay believes that Richardson will undergo shoulder injury, which will keep him sidelined for the 2023 season.

This injury comes after Richardson got tackled in the 2nd quarter of the Colts week 5 matchup. He was seen in pain seconds after, and had to leave the game.

It was then announced that he suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder, but were not immediately sure how severe it was.

During this past week, Richardson completed tests, and it was revealed that Richardson should be getting surgery to fix the damage, but he gets to make the decision.

Irsay is almost certain that the rookie QB will agree to the surgery, which will keep him sidelined until next season.

Richardson was drafted by the Colts as the 4th overall pick in the 2023 draft, and has been a great addition to the team since his arrival. Without Richardson, it looks like the Colts' season is done.
