Just two days after it was announced that the Bears were releasing QB Nathan Peterman, it has been revealed that Peterman is back, and has been signed back onto the active roster:
Though it has not yet been revealed who the Bears have chosen as their QB2, it looks like it will be going to the rookie, Tyson Bagent, after he showcased his skills in a few impressive preseason performances.
Because the Bears released Peterman before signing him back, it looks like they don't feel confident with him serving as the backup, but he can still be a great 3rd string QB.
Peterman will be entering his 6th NFL season this year, and will most likely be the Bears QB3.
