The Chiefs entered the 2023 season as reigning Super Bowl champs, but their opening game looked far from that.

The Chiefs lost to the Lions 21-20, in the NFL opener. The Chiefs were at home and were expected to win this game, by a lot.

Most of the blame is going towards WR Kadarius Toney, as he dropped some very catchable passes, that ended up costing the Chiefs the game. However, social media is also putting the blame on former Bears head coach, Matt Nagy, who is now serving as the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs:

As seen in the clip above, it is obvious that the Chiefs ran some questionable plays, especially when the game was on the line.

Some poorly set up run plays, as well as not giving the ball to superstar QB Patrick Mahomes when the game is on the line shocked viewers.

Bears fans know this narrative all too well, and I am sure every Bears fan who watched this game is happy to see Nagy out of Chicago.

Nagy served as the Bears head coach from 2018-2021, and to put it nicely, Bears fans are not too fond of him. When Nagy was fired before the 2022 season, Bears fans were jumping for joy and were happy to see him off to a new team.

His time with the Chiefs started off well, as he served as the teams senior assistant & quarterbacks coach in 2022, but was then upgraded to the offensive coordinator position, which is clearly not working out right now.

Sorry Chiefs fans, but things may get ugly on the offensive side
