Fields was drafted in 2021 as the 11th pick. He was a star in college, after he left Georgia and transferred to Ohio State. During those 2 seasons, and only 22 games, Fields was unstoppable, and ended with a 20-2 record. In his 3 seasons combined (1 of them he was a backup), Fields finished with a total of 86 touchdowns, and throwing for 5,701 yards with only 9 interceptions.
When he entered the NFL, a lot was expected from him. However, in his first season, he finished with a 2-8 record, with only 7 touchdowns and a whopping 10 interceptions. Even though he was not the only one to blame, it still was a bad look.
Thankfully, last season we saw improvement in Fields' game. Even though they finished with the worst record in the NFL, we were still able to see what Fields' has inside of him, which we are hoping shows this upcoming season.
Fields has the most to prove this year, but now, he has help from his new and improved receivers, as well as a motivated offensive line. Things are set to look good, but we won't know until September comes around.
