The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran quarterback Jeff Driskel to their active roster, adding him as the third option behind Joe Flacco and PJ Walker. Driskel, who stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 235 pounds, has eight seasons of NFL experience and started in 11 games throughout his career with various teams, including the Bengals, Lions, Broncos, and Texans. He has completed 216 of 365 passes for 2,228 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career, along with 384 rushing yards and three scores. Driskel was signed off the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad, and to make room for him on the roster, the Browns waived defensive end Sam Kamara.

The Browns have been dealing with quarterback injuries this season, with Dorian Thompson-Robinson being placed on injured reserve with a hip injury. Driskel's addition provides depth at the position, and it's possible that Walker could be a cut candidate. However, the Browns have already secured a playoff spot, and if their chance to win the AFC North is no longer possible, they may choose to rest Flacco. Coach Kevin Stefanski has expressed confidence in PJ Walker's ability to step in if needed.

Joe Flacco, who joined the Browns mid-season, has been performing well and has a 4-1 record as the starter. He has thrown for over 300 yards in four consecutive games, contributing to the Browns' success. Flacco, a Super Bowl MVP, has brought valuable experience to the team and has been embraced by both fans and teammates.
