The changes include the re-hiring of Jon Hoke as Cornerbacks Coach and Passing Game Coordinator, the addition of Isaiah Harris as Player Engagement/Strength & Conditioning Coach, and the official hiring of Pierre Ego as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and Zach Cable as Offensive Quality Control. Additionally, there were promotions for Omar Young as Assistant QBs and WRs Coach and Carls Super as Director of Wellness, and the appointment of Mike Wiley Jr. as Director of Mental Skills/Performance.
The most significant change is the return of Jon Hoke, who previously served as the Bears' defensive backs coach from 2009-14. During his time with the team, the Bears' DBs were among the top performers in the league, with the fourth-most interceptions and pick-sixes during that span. Since leaving the Bears, Hoke has worked at various other teams, most recently as Secondary Coach for the Falcons.
While these changes are positive, there is still the possibility that other coaches may leave for other opportunities, which would require the Bears to make additional hires. Nonetheless, the team hopes that these new hires will keep them on the right track.
