Yesterday, NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter posted a 3-round mock draft. Reuter has been in the business for a while now and he is extremely well-respected. Let's look at what he has in store for us.

Obviously, the Chicago Bears don't have a first-round draft choice for this year. The first time they will most likely get on the stage is at the 39th pick. Reuter went with former Ohio State receiver Chris Olave.

I have linked Olave to the Bears for a while now. Of course, I know the biggest need for the Bears is Oline. However, if there is one thing I have learned in all my years of covering the NFL, you have to pick the best player available. Unless it's a quarterback, you choose the highest player on your draft board. This is especially true for the Bears at the moment. Let's be honest, they have a lot of needs. The receiving position is without a doubt one of them.

Olave is an amazing prospect. He has an unteachable ability to always get open. He is such a smooth route runner. When you put on his game tape, you can rarely see him get covered. The best comparison you will probably hear a lot during the draft process is Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings. It is granted. They play the position the same way. You can see so many similarities in the route running, and they both have that «baller» mentality as well. Let me say this one more time: Pairing him and Justin Fields would be so great for the organization, for the team, for the fanbase and for the whole team as well. This would be a 10/10 draft choice at the 39th pick.

Here is what we would be in store for during the next decade at least:

The next Bears pick is the 71st pick. He has them taking Daniel Faalele, an offensive tackle out of the University of Minnesota. Faalele is a HUGE human being. He is listed at around 6'9″ 390 pounds. There is a rumour that he could almost weigh 400 pounds. This is absolutely crazy. He is pretty mobile for his frame. Of course, he would have to perfect his technique and learn the ins and outs of the position, but the potential is there. You can guess that his pro comparison is former Vikings RT Phil Loadholt.

Here is Faalele making his best William Perry's impression:

Finally, the Bears get an additional 3rd round draft pick because of the compensatory selection for the Ryan Poles hire. Unfortunately, Chad Reuter did not make picks for the compensatory selections.

Let's just say that this would be an amazing draft scenario for the Bears' first two picks.
