As seen in the video, Erdahl goes back to the college days, and explains how Bagent had himself a legendary college career. Bagent attended a D2 school, Shepherd University, where he played for the Rams as their starting QB. He was the team's superstar player, and he even broke the record for touchdown passes across all NCAA divisions with 159 TDs.
Though he finished college with records and awards, NFL teams still passed on him, and Bagent went undrafted. Even going undrafted, the Bears kept their eye on him, and Bagent noticed it.
Erdahl then tells a short story during the segment, where Jim Nagy explained to her how Bagent told him that the Bears gave Bagent the most pre-draft love through the entire combine and pre-draft days.
Bagent felt the love from the Bears, so when he signed with them as an undrafted free agent, he knew it was the right spot.
Bagent is entering his rookie year as Justin Fields' backup, and has rightfully so earned the role as QB2.
