While being interviewed on The Jim Rome Show, Gordon opened up about why being a running back is the worst in the league. Gordon said:
Gordon goes on to explain that running backs get "no love" and that the game is the hardest on them.
Gordon is not the first player to speak up about the way RBs are treated, as star RB Christian McCaffrey spoke out a few weeks ago in regards to RBs not getting paid enough. Gordon has the same concerns, and just flat out feels like being an RB is the worst position to be.
Gordon was drafted in the 1st round back in 2015. He has played with the Chargers, Broncos, and was a practice squad member with the Chiefs. His time with the Chargers were the best of his career, as he was a 2-time Pro Bowler. The once Pro Bowl star is now out of a job, but he has not given up all hope.
During his interview, Gordon adds that he still wants play in the NFL and is always ready to get that opportunity again. He is staying ready and eager to sign with a team. Gordon said:
Running backs careers usually do not last very long, and their pay does not always seem so fair. Gordon has a point, so hopefully the NFL starts showing more love for the backs.
