Why Saints star RB Alvin Kamara may Not play this Season
Things are not looking too good for Saints star running back, Alvin Kamara.
On February 6, 2022, Kamara was arrested for battery. The incident took place at a nightclub the night before, where a video showed him punching a man named Darnell Greene 8 times. Kamara and a few other men beat up Greene, which left him injured.
Over 1 year later, Kamara has agreed to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace. Kamara will have to do 30 hours of community service and pay Greene $105,000 for his medical bills.
Even though Kamara will be facing zero jail time, the NFL still needs to make their decision on his future. The NFL released a statement saying:
The NFL will be taking a deeper look into the situation, and if they feel the need to, then Kamara could miss all season. The NFL is not always consistent when it comes to suspensions, but because this matter is very serious, and getting a lot of press, they may decide to suspend him.
