The Chicago Bears' quarterback situation isn't solely about Justin Fields and incoming draft prospects. While drafting a top rookie quarterback is a possibility, there are scenarios where the Bears might acquire a veteran quarterback either as a mentor, backup, or bridge starter. In such cases, the team could target impending free agents like Jacoby Brissett, Joe Flacco, or Russell Wilson.
BetOnline, on December 28, named the Bears as one of the favorites to land Russell Wilson when he enters free agency in March. The odds for the Bears stand at 8-1, with several other QB-needy teams in a similar position. The Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders are at 7-1 odds, while the Minnesota Vikings are the favorites at 5-1.
