According to ESPN's Kevin Seifert, Jefferson mentioned that he's uncertain about his availability for Monday's game, but he intends to play as long as he feels physically well. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year has been sidelined since Week 5 due to an ongoing hamstring injury.
"I'm not sure," Jefferson stated. "We'll see. We still have more days to practice and really evaluate everything. We're going to assess the options carefully, ensuring that I'm in good condition and ready to compete in a game. If I'm feeling good, I will take the field."
The Vikings appeared to be in a dire situation when Jefferson was placed on injured reserve. Following a Week 5 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which dropped Minnesota's record to 1-4, the high-powered offense was struggling to meet expectations.
However, the team has turned things around since then, posting a 6-1 record, even after losing starting quarterback Kirk Cousins for the season due to a torn Achilles in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings acquired journeyman quarterback Josh Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals, and he has led the NFC North club to a 2-1 record since joining.
As they head into Week 12, the Vikings are in a playoff position with a 6-5 record. Despite a loss to the Denver Broncos last week, they have a manageable schedule ahead, with only two games remaining against teams with winning records, both against the Detroit Lions.
In his first five games of the season, the 24-year-old Jefferson accumulated 36 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns.
