During his appearance, Conklin, who is entering his 2nd year with the Jets, told GMFB that the Jets have "plenty of room" for Cook. A clip of him saying this was posted onto Twitter, which Cook saw and replied with the 100% emojis:
It is not often that free agent players would respond to something like this, unless they were close to a deal.
If Cook did sign with the Jets, he would be joining his former teammate, as Conklin played on the Vikings from 2018-2021. Conklin went on to explain his relationship with Cook:
Cook would be joining a backfield with some star quality, as Jets RB Breece Hall made quite the good impression his rookie season. Bringing Cook in allows him to be the star, but will have some help. Cook would be the RB1, as he has proven himself to be a leading man.
Joining the Jets also means joining one of the greatest QBs of all time, Aaron Rodgers. Cook wants a ring, we all know that, and by playing along one of the greats means he has a pretty good shot at winning the Super Bowl.
The Jets would become instant contenders if they acquire Cook, as their offense will be unstoppable.
