Former Browns head coach under investigation for throwing NFL games
Bummy Browns Strike Again
The NFL has opened investigations into the 2016, and 2017 seasons, for an allegation that then head-coach Hue Jackson purposefully threw games. Mary Jo White of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is leading the investigation, she claims the case will be resolved soon.
She is the same attorney investigating Brian Flores claims that he was offered $100,000 a game to lose by the Miami Dolphins in 2019. Even though Hue retracted his allegations the Browns still find it pertinent to investigate these claims for the sanctity of the game. It is important to remember the Browns record in 2016 was 1-15 followed by an 0-16 record in 2017 before being released by the Browns in 2018 after a 2-5-1 record. I guess those two wins were too much for them to handle. Jackson is currently in his first year as head coach for Grambling University.
